Are AI assistants citing you? Check 4 engines in one click.

ItzSEO asks Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude the questions your customers ask, with web search on, and records whether each answer links to you, names you, or cites someone else. See your share across engines, the domains that win instead, Claude's tip for every question you are missing from, and an llms.txt built from your real pages. Tracked questions per workspace: Starter 10, Growth 50, Agency 200, Scale 500.

What you get

Where you stand in AI answers, question by question.

4 engines, one scan

Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, each through its own API with web search on. Every answer and every cited source is stored, with the model that produced it.

Linked or named

Each cell says whether the engine linked to your domain, named you without a link, or left you out. Generic words never count as a mention.

Who gets cited instead

The domains the engines cite most for your questions, with their share of answers and how many questions they appear in. Your domain is always on the list.

Share over time

Your share across the latest answer for every question and engine, and a 30-day trend that carries each result forward, so a partial rescan doesn't skew the line.

A tip per missing question

Claude reads the answers that left you out and their sources, and says what page to publish or update. One tip per question, 2 credits.

llms.txt from your real pages

Built from the pages ItzSEO knows on your site, linking only to them. One-click publish for sites built in ItzSEO; download for any other host.

Answer and sources on file

Open any question to read each engine's full answer, the sources in the order cited, and your notes.

Pay per scan, refunds on failure

8 credits for a full scan of one question (Perplexity 1, ChatGPT 3, Gemini 1, Claude 3). Failed engine calls are refunded automatically.

How it works

From question to fix.

  1. STEP 1

    Add your questions

Paste up to 50 at a time — the questions prospects ask sales, or that your best pages answer.

  2. STEP 2

    Scan

Scan one question or all of them. Each goes to Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude; big lists run in batches, oldest first.

  3. STEP 3

    Read the results

Linked, named or missing for every engine, your overall share, and the domains cited instead of you.

  4. STEP 4

    Fix and rescan

Generate Claude's tips for the questions you're missing from, publish or update the page, then scan again and watch the share.

FAQ

AI Search Visibility (GEO) questions.

What does AI Search Visibility do?
You list the questions your customers ask AI assistants. ItzSEO sends each one to Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude with web search switched on, records every source each engine cites, and marks whether your domain was linked, named without a link, or left out. It shows your share across engines, which other domains the engines cite for your questions, and — when you ask — Claude's tip for each question where you are missing.
Which engines are scanned, and how?
Through each vendor's API with web search on: OpenAI's web_search tool (the search behind ChatGPT, on an API model), Perplexity's Sonar API, Gemini with Google Search grounding, and Claude with its web search tool. The model used is recorded on every result. API answers are close to, but not always identical to, what a signed-in person sees in each app, and engines vary from one run to the next — treat single results as a sample and watch the trend.
Does it track Google AI Overviews?
Not here — AI Search Visibility asks the AI assistants. Google's AI Overviews are covered by Answer Engine: for every keyword in the Rank Tracker, the daily check records which sites the AI Overview cites, who holds the featured snippet and who answers each People Also Ask question.
How often are queries scanned?
When you click Scan — for one query or all of them. There is no automatic schedule yet. A full scan of one query costs 8 credits (Perplexity 1, ChatGPT 3, Gemini 1, Claude 3); engine calls that fail are refunded. Large lists are scanned in batches automatically, oldest first.
What is the difference between linked and named?
Linked means one of the sources the engine cited is on your domain or a subdomain — the strong signal. Named means the answer mentions your domain or a distinctive brand name (your project's client or site name) without linking to you. Generic names such as "seo" or "best plumber" are never counted as a mention. Both count toward your share; the table shows which is which.
Can I see who the engines cite instead of me?
Yes. The dashboard lists the domains cited most across the latest answer for every tracked question and engine, with the share of answers that link to each and how many of your questions they appear in — your own domain is always shown. It is not a separate competitor list you configure; it is whoever the engines actually cite.
What do the recommendations look at?
For each question where at least one engine left you out, Claude reads those engines' answers and the sources they cited and writes 2–4 sentences: what the cited sources offer, the one page to publish or update, and a format tip. It does not read your pages or the cited pages. One tip per question, up to 20 per click, 2 credits each. Mark tips done or dismiss them.
What is llms.txt, and how does ItzSEO make one?
llms.txt is a proposed convention (llmstxt.org), not an official standard: a markdown file at your site's root that describes the site and lists its most useful pages for language models. ItzSEO builds it from the pages it already knows on your site — Search Console top pages, Pages & Indexing discoveries and crawled page titles — links only to those (any other link is removed), and is instructed not to state prices or facts that aren't in your project settings — read it before you publish. 1 credit per generation. Sites built in ItzSEO can publish it in one click; for other sites, download it and upload it to your root.
How many questions can I track?
Per workspace: Starter 10, Growth 50, Agency 200, Scale 500. Scans and recommendations use AI credits on top of that. AI Search Visibility is not on the Free plan.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes — the free AI search visibility check runs one question against Perplexity for your domain and shows the answer and every cited source.
